Manuel Gómez-Navarro is an Adjunct of Spanish at Boise State University, Idaho, USA. He received a PhD from the University of California, Davis in Spanish Literature. He holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Córdoba, Spain.
Manuel Gómez-Navarro teaches Spanish, Literature, and Culture in the framework of digital humanities. With an extensive experience working in different institutions and countries, his projects look for making culture accesible through digital technology. Among these projects are film festivals, creative digital magazines, and transmedia storytelling. His last project consists in the creation of virtual tours to preserve and promote Hispanic culture, and human rights from a pedagogical perspective. In these multimedia works, he combines 360 photos, videos, links, 2D photos, photogrammetry, among other digital resources to create an immersive and rich learning experience. These virtual tours are accesible from computers or mobile devices and can be used as teaching materials. Some of his last works are virtual tours for the installation Hostile Terrain 94 in Boise State University; the Museo Histórico-Arqueológico de Doña Mencía Spain virtual tour; and the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial virtual tour in Boise. |
